Pet memorabilia permit pet owners to celebrate and respect the existence of their pets. It can include things with sentimental value, like photographs, paw prints, collars, and toys. It can also be something creative, like a three-dimensional portrait of your pet made of felted wool!
For reasons unknown, there’s a fiber craftsman in Richmond, Virginia who makes only that for canine proprietors.
Anneli Kirby is a visual creator and part-time canine picture craftsman who runs Anneli Felts. On Instagram, she posts pictures and videos of her work regularly so that you can see what she has to offer.
On her site, Anneli makes sense of: ” While capturing the pet’s personality, each portrait has its distinct style. These are more of a fun caricature than a perfectly photo-realistic representation of your dog.
She went on to say that she uses wool roving to create a three-dimensional effect on a colored felt background. “I use frames I find in local stores so inventory changes frequently,” she stated.

She typically paints portraits of single dogs, but she has also painted canine pairs and plans to one-day paint cats. Portraits cost $200 with a plain background and $25 more with “wallpaper,” which is graphics added to the image. Included in the price is US shipping.
