For dogs, shaving their fur is like taking a breather because it takes away a lot of tension. Because of this, the first thing that animal rescuers did after rescuing a dog trapped inside a barn was to take him to a groomer. The thick fur on Lazarus showed that he had been trapped in a barn for a long time. It appears that the dog was left there after his previous owner was given a serious illness diagnosis.

To rescue Lazarus from his predicament, concerned citizens contacted an animal rescue organization. Because the Great Pyrenees was confined there for six years, he was skeptical of the intentions of others. Consequently, even the rescuers found it difficult to approach him.

Not only was Lazarus covered in fur but also the dirt. The coat became heavier than his real body, making it challenging for him to move. The unfortunate dog was transported to the groomer as soon as the rescue workers transferred him. Lazarus received a much-needed haircut and a bath. Shaving off 33 pounds of Lazarus’s fur was difficult for Jessica Kincheloe. Until he regained his composure, the dog was completely distrustful. Lazarus started to believe Jessica’s process after his fur and all suspicions vanished.
He was given a significant makeover which at last showed his normally enchanting face. The people who paid attention to the dog, finally made him smile.
Lazarus received treatment and therapy at Big Fluffy Dog Rescue in addition to the transformation. Before they could find him a forever home, the rescue center needed to make sure he was healthy enough. Lazarus went to therapy so that he could learn to walk well. He was given another life as though he was an infant once more. After a few instructional courses, the attractive Extraordinary Pyrenees met his new family. Happiness replaced the agony of six years spent confined to a 12 by 12 barn. It appeared as though the heavily matted fur represented his doubts and fears.
