Mother canine and her only enduring pup catch a trip To freedom together

When the American Staffordshire terrier mix and her sick puppies were taken by the shelter they couldn’t have imagined that their life would have both a happy and a sad ending.

The poor puppies had hookworm infections and only one of them survived. Save a Pet in Alabama did everything in its power to find a forever home and a peaceful life for the dog and her pup. They gave her the name Fancy. From the beginning, she was just agreeable on the terrace since she was never in a home. She gradually opened up dependent upon her non-permanent family who gave her adoration and consideration.

Faye, the surviving pup, was taken in and cared for by a veterinarian technician. Half a month later Fancy at last rejoined Faye. The dedicated mother doesn’t let the little one be far away from her.

However, their story does not end there. Southern shelters are overcrowded, and a lack of space and adopters puts many adoptable dogs in danger of being put down.

Thanks to your donations, GreaterGood and our partners Greater Good Charities provide monthly funding for a Flight to Freedom. Cats and dogs are flown to shelters with open kennels from overcrowded shelters.

The flight this month will transport 55 dogs of all ages and breeds from Louisiana to New Jersey in search of devoted new homes. Fancy and Faye are two of the fortunate travelers on the April seventeenth flight that is filled with your help.
