Man stunned everyone after catching super rare, giant banana-colored catfish in Netherlands

Catfish are typically brown or gray. One in a million may have leucism and instead be pale yellow. Leucism is a genetic mutation that causes a partial loss of pigmentation but does not affect the eyes. It is frequently confused with albinism. That is sufficient scientific data. Let’s say hello to this amazing leucism catfish that resembles a huge banana swimming around!

Martin Glatz, a Dutch professional angler, drove his boat to a lake to fish with his twin brother Oliver. A bright yellow catfish suddenly floated into their boat from the water.

The Glatz twins were taken aback and excited by the sight, which resembled a huge banana with gills and writhing about.

They had caught a lot of catfish in their lives, like the majority of fishermen, but they had never seen one like this, so they were overwhelmed. In the wake of appreciating and taking some photographs with the uncommon catfish, they delivered it back into the water. Later, the image was shared on their Instagram, attracting the attention of scientists, reporters, and internet users.

The monster is a large species of wels catfish (Silurus glanis) that lives in European lakes and rivers. These fish are well-known for their enormous size; they can reach lengths of at least 2.7 meters (9 feet) and weights of nearly 130 kilograms (300 pounds).
