The affectionate tabby cat Rigby has a strong desire to assist in the care of the kittens brought home by his family.
Six years ago, Holly Brookhouser and her family met Rigby, a tabby cat, at an Oklahoma shelter.

They wanted to get a feline companion for Canon, but they had no idea that Rigby would also get along with all of the abandoned kittens who came through their door.
Holly claimed, “A year after we adopted him, I started fostering kittens and realized he had a strong desire to help care for them.”

Rigby decided to pay the fosters a visit one day, and they ended up cuddling in a cute cuddle puddle. He spent the entire day with the kittens, grooming them from head to toe.
Rigby assumed the role of the surrogate parent for many of the kittens who were placed in foster care without a mother. He’d spend more time with singles and wrap his arms around them while they slept.

Rigby will follow proper feline etiquette and provide the mother cat with all the space she needs when Holly brings a family home with the mother cat.

Holly is currently taking care of a stray mother cat named Millie, her six kittens, and five orphaned babies.
