Elderly dog ‘almost frozen to death’ in ditch rescued by deputy, reunites with owner

If not for the help of the sheriff’s deputy this elderly dog will freeze to death.

Recently, the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office, in Maine, got a call about a dog in a ditch. Deputy Mark Anderson arrived on the scene, in the town of Arrowsic, and began the thorough search of the dog. After a while, he found a 14-year-old dog frozen to death.

The dog tried to come out of the ditch as there were claw marks but as the dog got weaker and weaker because of the cold it became impossible to come out of the ditch.

As soon as the deputy saw the dog she hep her paw up as if she was asking for help. The deputy took teh dog to the nearest dispatch center where he got teh needed support, The staff covered the elderly dog with various blankets.

Soon deputy Anderson began searching for her owners and knocked on the doors of the nearby houses. Fortunately, after a few hours he managed to find her owners who claimed that the dog had escaped the night before.

Her owner and the dog reunited and due to the priceless job of the deputy the elderly dog was safe ad sound.
